HM Pools was selected as the pool supplier for the new swimming facility in Mustasaari in autumn 2022. The grand opening took place in summer 2024. Built adjacent to Hotel Vallonia in Smedsby, the facility serves municipal residents of all ages and hosts swimming instruction for local schools.
HM Pools designed and manufactured the project’s largest pools: the 25-meter swimming pool, multi-purpose pool, children’s pool, and water slide. Pool4You acted as the project’s pool and water treatment contractor, delivering the pools on site.
Work on the pool complex began in winter 2023. The pool segments were engineered and manufactured at the Vantaa factory before being transported to Mustasaari for installation in spring 2023. Built from stainless steel, the pools were designed as self-supporting structures. In autumn 2023, interior works proceeded with welding the pool segments together and outfitting the pools with overflow gutters, inlet nozzles, ladders, and railings. The installation was completed in spring 2024, and the Mustasaari swimming facility opened to the public in June of the same year.
