Munkkiniemi Kadetti in Helsinki already received a lot of attention during the construction phase. The hundred-year-old Art Nouveau castle designed by architect Eliel Saarinen went through an extensive renovation, when the former Cadet School facilities were converted into apartments. The common areas of the house now also have their own spa department with a swimming pool and sauna facilities, which offers residents luxury for everyday life.

High Metal made a swimming pool for Kadetti from acid-resistant steel. The high-quality eight-meter pool is well suited to the style of the old prestigious building. A new steel pool was sunk in place of the old pool and the pool space was meticulously modernized together with the architects. Bringing a pool into this space is challenging, but it is possible to weld a steel pool together from elements on site.
