A 21-meter steel pool built for year-round use
HM Pools delivered a 21 × 4-meter swimming pool manufactured from acid-resistant stainless steel for a private residence in the Espoo archipelago. Upon completion, it was the largest private residential steel pool built in HM Pools’ history.
The pool’s impressive 21-meter length provides exceptional conditions for lap swimming and endurance training. The installation is further enhanced by an integrated counter-current system, hydromassage water jets, and a submerged relaxation ledge with air massage bubbles, seamlessly incorporating wellness and relaxation into the same pool design.
Engineered for year-round operation, the pool features a sliding enclosure that protects it when not in use and simplifies ongoing maintenance. A high-efficiency water treatment system enables continuous, uninterrupted use without the need for seasonal draining.
This project stands as a prime example of how an expansive stainless steel pool can be custom-engineered to unite athletic swimming, wellness features, and year-round functionality into a bespoke whole.
