The renovation of the Hakunila swimming facility stands as one of HM Pools’ most significant public swimming complex projects to date. In this project, an outdated 25 × 20-meter tiled pool was transformed into a modern competition- and training-grade pool manufactured from acid-resistant stainless steel.
Completed in just a few months, the renovation gave the pool a completely revitalized aesthetic and an extended service life. The result is a striking, hygienic, and long-lasting pool solution that meets all contemporary public swimming facility standards regarding usability, safety, and maintenance.
Thanks to its stainless steel construction, the pool withstands intensive use for decades while delivering significantly lower lifecycle costs compared to conventional pool structures. The project is an exceptional showcase of how an existing pool can be renovated cost-effectively to serve long into the future.
